Kansas City 'Kids' marathon

I had the opportunity to work on the K.C. 'Kids' Marathon t-shirt and medal for 2008. This was the 3rd consecutive year I designed the regular marathon/medal, but this is the first year a kids race was planned.

I used the same fountain, the Seahorse Fountain, as the adult race, but designed it more 'kid friendly' by making the animals, a seahorse (obviously) and a lion's head, on the fountain come alive.

Hope the kids like the design, but more importantly, enjoy the experience of running. I know I wouldn't have been able to run a marathon as a kid.
