2008 KC Trail Nerds race series brochure and poster

Just wrapped up another fun job for the Kansas City Trail Nerds. Ben gave me a lot of freedom to experiment w/ new designs on their 2008 Vasque Trail Race Series brochure and poster. Instead of the usual photography-based designs you see a lot for sports related design, I decided to use illustration. I tried for something simple and eye-catching

This is the 2nd year of the race series and as with all their races, I expect this year to be even better. The group has grown from a few guys who like to run in the woods when I met them in '05 to a HUGE and ever-expanded group of runners of all age that help organize almost 2-dozen races around the KC/midwest. Amazing what a little hard work and inspiration will do!
