Georgia Magazine cover

Recently I had the opportunity to illustrate the cover of my alumni's magazine, The Georgia Magazine. I illustrate regularly for the magazine, but this is the first chance to do something more than a spot. I'm both proud and nervous that my former peers and teachers will see my work.

The cover focuses on a UGA program where students spend time in Costa Rica learning about such things as farming techniques and the native plants/animals. The AD wanted a 'collage' look that featured things you may encounter if you traveled there - sloth, monkies, lizards, butterflies and specific plants.

The piece is completed in ink and watercolor. Alumni should see the mag in their mailboxes soon!
