Stalin's super-warrior

My friend, Randy, is a political junky who reads anything he can find with politics. He came across this article months ago and thought I'd have fun illustrating it. I filed it away until last night.
It seems Stalin tried to create a 'half-man, half-ape, super-warrior' who were (in Stalin's words), "....a new invincible human being, insensitive to pain, resistant and indifferent about the quality of food they eat."
Who would have thunk it? Stalin actually came up with the idea of Planet of the Apes decades before the movie premiered!

Shlik, looks like you got a new "Super Monkey" for your web site. It's amazing that people with those kinds of ideas come to power. But whatever. I like the illustration. I like how the monkey seems to pop off of the background. Was this all done in Illustrator or Photoshop? Nice job.

Jason,
That sounds like 80% of the folks in our trailrunning group, other than "picking food off of the ground to eat" wasn't mentioned.
