Illustration Friday (FRESH)

I've been wanting to do a running illo for a while now so when this week's 'Illustration Friday' word was 'fresh', I thought here's my chance. Ok...so maybe when I think about running, it's usually a 'not-so-fresh' feeling...actually I'm muddy, wet, and stinky. On my weekly trail runs after splashing through puddles, crossing streams, and falling a number of times, I need to jog to the carwash! Anyway, here's my 'not-so-fresh' illo!

Great detail in your illo, it awakens all the enses. I can hear the crack of twigs, feel the chill of the night and smell the fresh forest!! well done!
Very nice! Queen Tut is right...the way you detail you can easily bring in all the other senses to enjoy this illo!
I love your Ralph Steadman splatters, and the quality of the lines. The coloring works really well in this illo too.
Mercedes: Thank you..had fun doing it!
Queen Tut: There's nothing like a run in the woods at night. ALL your senses awaken..you have to be alert so as not to trip...still happens though.
Ali: Thanks!
Eric: Yep..we run through the woods at night twice a week..and yes..sometimes it will be spooky. We're having a Halloween run in a few weeks dress in costume!
Ellen: Thanks!
Leontine: Ralph Steadman is one of the best. He was one of the first illustrators that I saw had FUN doing his drawings. I hate labored illustration and hope my illos have half the energy as his.
Ah, but I'll bet those after-run endorphins are pretty darn fresh! Great illustration..full of movement and energy.

Nice Illustration! It describes how I have imagined how it is out there on the trails. I remember you are the one who drove himself to the hospital with a broke arm. But ohm that was while riding a bike. Still that also leave you with a "not so fresh" feeling.
